Regular Course Tutors

Gabbie Chan Hiu-ling graduated from the HKAPA, majoring in Chinese Dance. While studying at the HKAPA, she was awarded several scholarships; she took part in the American Dance Festival in North Carolina in the US, in addition to exchange programmes and tours to Shanghai, Inner Mongolia and Malaysia. Chan was a dancer with the DanceArt Hong Kong between 2012 and 2014. She later joined Passoverdance and began creating choreographic works. Her works include Recycle-green which was presented in the i-Dance Festival (HK) in 2015, and The 16th Day which was debuted in the 44th Hong Kong Arts Festival in 2016. Chan has performed in Germany, Bahrain, Korea, the US, and Mainland China.

Gabbie Chan

Pandora Sin graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) from the HKAPA, majoring in Choreography. After graduation, she worked as a dance instructor for educational outreach programmes at the City Contemporary Dance Company (CCDC) and Hong Kong Ballet. She has performed and collaborated with various local artists and dance companies. At Passoverdance, Sin works closely with the Artistic Director in programme planning and developing networks with artists, arts companies and organisations locally and overseas.

Pandora Sin

Cally Yip graduated from the HKAPA with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) with a major in Contemporary Dance in 2007. While studying at the HKAPA, she represented the Academy in performance tours to Perth, Paris, Berlin and Brussels, and she was awarded the Jackie Chan Charitable Scholarship and the Hong Kong Association of University Women Scholarship. After graduation, Yip has performed with or choreographed for various organisations including the Hong Kong Dance Alliance, Passoverdance, E-Side Dance Company, Y-space, TNT Theatre, Theatre Ronin, The Only Stage, and Goodnews Communication International. She has performed in the con- certs of Aaron Kwok, Kelly Chen, and Leo Ku. An advocate of dance education, she has taught contemporary dance, jazz dance, children’s dance and choreography in various schools and organisations.

Cally Yip

Cherry Leung Tsz Yan graduated with Bachelor of Fine Arts (First-class Honours) degree from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), majoring in contemporary dance and choreography in 2008. She received a full dance scholarship from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund to proceed her study in Master in Choreography in Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in United Kingdom and graduated in 2015. During her study in HKAPA, she was awarded several scholarships and also represented the school in performance tours to Southampton, London, Berlin, Brussels and Guangdong.

Cherry Leung

Liz Tsui graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree, majoring in Contemporary Dance, Dance Pedagogy and Choreography. After graduation, she worked with several dance companies in Hong Kong. She choreographed for large-scale musicals for primary and secondary schools. From 2010 to 2022, she served as a tutor for the "Leap!" programme co-organised by Tung Wah Group of Hospitals and Cloud gate dance theatre school, participated in teaching and training, curriculum design and course research and development. In 2023, she joined a number of Jockey Club-funded dance programs as an instructor, including the "Free Flow" Body Movement Project. “Dance Well” Project, and“Move with the Silver Flow” Dance and Well-being Project. Taking dance, life, art and education as her lifelong goal.

Liz Tsui

Wong graduated from the modern dance faculty of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in Pedagogics and Choreography. She was awarded City Contemporary Dance Company Scholarship during her studies. A dance enthusiast as a freelance dancer and dance tutor, Wong has collaborated with a number of choreographers and dance companies. She has been actively participating in Passoverdance productions such as Xin Xiang, Shared Journey, Maze Series, 10gether, Tenacity of Being as well as education projects including Dance Up Hi! I and II of “18dART Community Art Scheme” and Jockey Club “In Search of Voice in a Cramped City“ Dance Education Programme: Mou6 Jin4 Cing1 Hang4. 

Sze-ling Wong

Man graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and majored in contemporary Dance.
While studying, he received a scholarship from the Jackie Chan Charity Foundation.
In 2006, he received the scholarship 
from HSBC to attend The Guangdong Modern 
Dance Festival in Guangzhoug, China. 
Man was a dancer with the DanceArt Hong Kong between 2013 and 2014.
Man has participated in performances by many choreographers and many different company.
Currently a freelance dancer and dance teacher.

Man Liu

Born in Hong Kong, Sarah started her ballet training at the age of four. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honors) degree from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2009. Lo was awarded several scholarships during her study including The Disney Scholarship, The Society of APA Scholarship and Carl Wolz Scholarship. She received a scholarship to participate at American Dance Festival in 2007 and was selected to work for “The William Forsythe Project”. Lo was chosen by the World Dance Alliance to represent Hong Kong to join the Taipei International Dance Elite Academy “TAIPEiDEA”. She was a dancer and choreographer of 2010 Hong Kong City Dance Festival “Bare Stage Project”. Lo performed “MAZE” by Passoverdance from 2012 to 2022. Lo’s choreography works included “Within Translocation”, “Distant Dreamer”, “Faked”, “Goes Along With Expectation” & “Complementary Attitude”. Lo was a guest lecturer of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University; She is now a company member of Passoverdance and a registered ballet teacher of The Royal Academy of Dance.

Sarah Lo

Jiang Ying graduated from the Guangdong Dance School, majoring in modern dance, and then continued her studies at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. In 2005, she joined Hong Kong Disneyland as a parade dancer. From 2016 to 2021, she was a full-time body rhythm teacher of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals' 『Leap!』 program. Starting from 2022, she will serve as a mentor for different projects of the Jockey Club, such as the "Free Flow" Body Movement project and the "Dance Well" d project.

Now she is a freelance worker, body rhythm instructor, and early childhood education instructor.

Yon Jiang

Graduated from the School of Dance of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Tai majored in contemporary dance. Her expertise covers various dance genres, including contemporary, Latin, jazz, street dance, and more.
She has established a prolific career collaborating with both local and international choreographers and directors, showcasing her talent on stages around the world. Some of her notable collaborators include Leila McMillan from the UK, John Utans and Jaime Redfern from Australia, Zhou Yi from Taiwan, and a range of Hong Kong-based artists such as Ata Wong, Bonnie Chan, Chow Pe Wan, and Li Yongjing.
Tai has actively engaged in diverse performing arts endeavors, and her recent performances reflect her versatility. These include her roles in Théâtre de la Feuille's Fall and Flow and Theatre du Pif's Love in the Time of, where she displayed her acting skills. Additionally, she contributed her dance prowess to the imPerfect Dancers Company's production of Hamlet and another Théâtre de la Feuille piece titled What You See Is Not You. She also embarked on a solo performance in the #FOLLOWMi Sammi Cheng World Tour Hong Kong Station 2019, and demonstrated her wirework abilities in Pretty Crazy Joey Yung's World Tour Concert. Her involvement in the musical realm is showcased in her participation in Actors' Family's A Midsummer Night's Dream 2.0, highlighting her multifaceted contributions to the performing arts scene.

Pewan Chow was among the first cohort of graduates from the School of Dance, the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA). She was awarded a scholarship by the London Contemporary Dance School to pursue further study in choreography and performance in 1988. Upon her return to Hong Kong, she taught contemporary dance at the HKAPA from 1991 to 2007, during which she received a Master of Arts in Choreography from the Laban Centre, London in 2003. 

As an independent choreographer and performer, Chow endeavours to contribute to the study, education and creation of dance at Passoverdance. Her choreographic works include Grey Area, In Search of Space in a Cramped City: A Moving Exhibition – Urban Bottling, Maze, Homecoming, Xin Xiang, Solo Act, Searchlight, and Execute I, II, II -- Accomplish. She received the Hong Kong Dance Awards in 2010 for Outstanding Achievement in Independent Production for Homecoming, and in 2013 for Outstanding Independent Dance Production for Maze. Chow is also the recipient of the Hong Kong Dance Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Youth and Community Dance for In Search of Space in a Cramped City: A Moving Exhibition – Urban Bottling in 2016, and Outstanding Dance Education for In Search of Motion in a Virtual City: Grey Area in 2018. Chow was awarded Artist of the Year (Dance) by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) in 2017.

Pewan Chow

Graduated from HKAPA (2005). Previously worked with Art Fission Company (Singapore) and is currently an independent choreographer and dancer educator.​

First solo Of Mud and Dust featured in Hong Kong Arts Festival (HKAF) in 2011, Guangdong Dance Festival (2012), Beijing Dance Festival (2014), and International Dance Theater Festival at Zawirowania, Poland (2015).

 

​Solo performances Solo (2011) and Melting Solitude II (2013) were commissioned by HKAF and LCSD. Invited as guest curator for the City Festival's dance programme (2007) and her work, Let the Body Flow, was performed in Hong Kong and Patravadi Theatre in Thailand (2008). Received the 2011 Hong Kong Dance Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Environmental Dance for her work in Positioning.
