Arts Voyager

Arts Voyager, Passoverdance's unique dance education programme, was launched in 2015.  The programme aims to nurture talented choreographers by providing progressive training focusing on choreography and techniques.

Arts Voyager 2023 - 2026 
Phase 2 Admissions

​Passoverdance is now recruiting people over 18 years old who are interested in dance to join this program and start your dance journey.

The course lasts for three years. The first year focuses on improvisational skills; the second year will learn and practice choreography skills; and the third year will allow students to create individual works or collective creations and perform public performances in Hong Kong theaters.

1st Year

1st programme year is mainly focusing on the improvisation skills. Arts Voyager will share their improvisation learning outcome with audiences during the showcase.

2nd Year

2nd programme year will be focusing on the choreography skills. Arts Voyager will choreographer their own piece based on their ideas. Artistic Director will select few pieces to further develop and perform in the 3rd programme year.

3rd Year

In the 3rd programme year, Arts Voyager will choreographed their own pieces based on their creative ideas and concepts in the 2nd year. Artistic director and guest advisors will be assist in the creative process, in order to produce a complete dance piece. In this process, aims to help Arts Voyager to further develop on their ideas and creative process.

2023

2023 Arts Voyager

A collaboration between Passoverdance and HKDC had emerged from this fruitful artistic relationship between both organizations on the idea of nurturing creative minds and skills. This year's show, Shimmer, will see six young talents, Vivian Chang, Katrina Chiang, Imelda Cheng, Cherry Shing, Sun Wing-sze and Olivia Wong, presenting their own contemporary dance choreographies based on their creative ideas and concepts developed last year, under the guidance of Artistic Director of HKDC Yang Yuntao, Artistic Director and Associate Artistic Director of Passoverdance Pewan Chow and Gabbie Chan and Programme Director Cherry Leung. Professional dancers from HKDC, Lee Chun-hin and Ng Yuen-man will also be joining them to take the choreographers’ individual works to new heights.

2021 Arts Voyager

These nine graduates all have different styles and have choreographed their own pieces based on their creative ideas and concepts earlier this year. They are going to develop further from their previous works and recreate nine new pieces.

2018 Arts Voyager: As Day Alights… presents the works of six graduates. These six pieces were selected from 2017 Arts Voyager, and further developed under the professional guidance of Passoverdance’s Artistic Director Pewan Chow, as well as Guest Advisors Chloe Wong and Dick Wong.
