Altering boundaries through dance:
a cinematic dance performance connecting the other side of the world
Since April, CODA Oslo International Dance Festival and Passoverdance have been working hard to find opportunities to show the "Maze: Shifting Boundaries (Maze 3.0)” performance. The performance will be streamed live from a heritage site of Nam Fung Cotton Mills (now known as The Mills) in Hong Kong. Maze 3.0 addresses the boundaries in our society or systems, where “the boundaries may be constantly shifted”. It is reflected in the sets—35 movable pillars. In some moments, the dancers dance between the pillars; in others, they move the pillars on the stage. It symbolizes boundaries that may be changed and prompts the audience to rethink and explore the possibilities of freedom.
