  • P1A Dance Techniques

This professional dance programme is suitable for participants with professional dance training background. It helps dancers or dance teachers keep their bodies in the best condition in order to improve teaching and performing standards.

Elderly Contemporary Dance Programme

This course is specially designed for seniors, using relaxed rhythms and simple dance activities to enhance physical mobility and balance. With guided instruction, participants are encouraged to tap into their creativity, express themselves freely, and stimulate their imagination. The class also promotes relaxation and social interaction. No prior dance experience is required, making it ideal for older adults interested in contemporary dance and creative movement.

Contemporary Dance Training Programme
Target:  Everyone

Julia Mok graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with a degree in Contemporary Dance in 1989. In 1995, she received scholarships from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund and the Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fund to further her studies in contemporary dance in the Netherlands.

Since 1990, Julia has served as a contemporary dance accompanist, working with the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, City Contemporary Dance Company, and New Era Dance. She plays instruments including the keyboard, drums, and vocals, and is also involved in music and physical expression-related creation and teaching. Recent performances include choreographing, singing, and playing the keyboard and drums for the local stage play "Don't Leave Me," and she recently provided live music for the theatrical score of Ima Collab's "Candide."

This workshop will explore how to express music through the body, learning to understand the rhythms, melodies, and emotions of different music styles, and discovering how to interpret music through movement. Important Notice

Details for Enrollment
  1. Before filling out your application form, please read this Enrollment Procedures and Information for Seasonal Courses carefully. Please note that the information provided in the application form shall be taken into account when making a final admission decision.
     

  2. To enable our staff to contact applications when needed, applicants should provide accurate information including details of Chinese and English names, contact numbers, or email addresses.
     

  3. Payment:
    Bank Transfer / FPS / Cash deposit / Cheque deposit to
    Passoverdance Limited (The Bank of East Asia 015-514-68-02301-6) and upload capscreen or photo copy to the enrolment form.
     

  4. please do not overpay, otherwise, the overpayment will not be reimbursed.
     

  5. Do not send cash by mail.
     

  6. Applicants will be charged an additional $150 for an administrative fee if they settle the tuition payment after the course starts.
     

  7. Applicants may submit the application form to attend if there is still a vacancy after the start of the course (no later than the 8th session). The applicant has to pay the tuition fee ($160/per session) and the administrative fee is $150, and settle the payment a week before attending the class.
     

  8. Except in exceptional circumstances, the company reserves the right to a final decision, all fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable.
     

  9. The company shall have the right to cancel courses. A refund of the course fee shall be made by cheque and mail to the address given on the application form.

Course Regulations
  1. Student please attends the classes according to the timetable. The company will disclose information on Facebook, Instagram, and its website at least three hours before the start of each class for any changes or updates. There will be no phone calls or emails.
     

  2. Students are advised to wear leotards, causal wear, or sportswear to class, shoes are not allowed inside the studio.
     

  3. Students are encouraged to wear T-shirts and clean socks to class for personal hygiene reasons.
    If there are no students 15 minutes after the start of the class, it will be cancelled.
     

  4. Students may be required to present an identification document for verification of eligibility by our staff. The company shall have the right to refuse class participation of those who fail to prove their eligibility.
     

  5. In accordance with their ability, students should take on their risks and participate in the classes. Women who are pregnant should not take part in classes; the company is not liable for any injury or illness which may result from these courses. If necessary, the students may consider applying for insurance themselves.
     

  6. For the purpose of promoting and recording, the company reserves the right to take photos or video footage during a class.
     

  7. The personal data as provided in the application form shall be used for the company newsletter and promotion. Applicants have the right to request access to and correct personal data under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. Please contact the company if necessary.

Make-up Class Arrangement
  1. Please let us know by e-mail at least two day in advance, and we will notify the tutor and schedule the make-up class accordingly. Students who have missed the class without proper notice will not have make-up class arrangements. The company reserves the right to the final decision.

  2. If the number of attendees for the selected class is full on the day, no make-up classes will be arranged. Please to select another date or class.                                              

  3. P3-A & P2-F do not accept make-up lessons from other classes.

  4. We cannot reschedule a missed or pre-arranged make-up class.

  5. A maximum of 2 make-ups could take place each season, regardless of the reason for them.

  6. Make-up classes must be taken during the season, and not allowed to be taken in the next season regardless of the reason for the make-up.

Typhoon and Rainstorm

1. Classes that have not started

Typhoon Signal No. 1 or No. 3

  • If the Hong Kong Observatory hoists Typhoon Signal No. 1 or No. 3, or issues Amber/Red Rainstorm Warning Signal, all classes will be held as usual.

Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or Black Rainstorm Warning

  • If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted three hours before the course starts, or the signal is still hoisted, the course will be cancelled.

2. Classes that have started

Typhoon Signal No. 1 or No. 3

  • When Typhoon Signal No. 1 or No. 3, or Amber/Red Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted, classes will continue.

 

Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or Black Rainstorm Warning

  • When Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted, the course will be terminated immediately.

 

3. The dance troupe can decide whether to continue the class based on the actual situation. Please stay tuned for the latest updates on our company’s Facebook/Instagram.

 

4. The above is for general reference only. In any case, students should consider the weather, road and traffic conditions in each region and decide whether to go to our center to attend classes. No make-up classes or refunds will be given for absences under this circumstance.

 

5. Classes cancelled due to typhoons or other severe weather conditions will not be notified in advance and no make-up classes or refunds will be arranged.
