This course delves into contact improvisation, focusing on weight sharing and spontaneous interaction. Participants will explore fluid movement, cultivate heightened sensitivity and trust, and develop skills and bodily awareness within a collaborative environment.

This course focuses on promoting coordination skills, weight shifting and dance sensitivity to build a solid foundation for dancing and performing ability.

Kids Contemporary Dance Programme

Creative movement programme designed for children aged 6 to 8. It aims to establish children's curiosity about their body and movement by observation, as well as understanding abstract concepts, increasing self-confidence and building teamwork.
This class uses music, rhythm and games to help them discover body awareness and timing. It encourages playful exploration of space and movement, enhancing coordination and creativity. Emphasis is placed on participation and imagination rather than technique, fostering confidence and expressive abilities in a joyful setting.
S03 Creative Movement I

S02 Body awareness and flow

The instructor will guide participants through awareness and imagination exercises to awaken bodily perception and deepen sensitivity to space, sound, and texture. These explorations aim to help students move beyond personal limitations and discover the body’s potential for expression and fluidity.

S05 Partnering

Partnering is a dance between two bodies, it is a physical communication of oneself and with a partner. With hands-on practice and movement sequences, we will embody basic principles and tools of duo work. The class aims to assist participants in building a strong physical foundation and enhance sensitivity to explore the freedom and joy of dancing with each other.

This course combines several fundamental elements for beginners to build up flexibility, strength and coordination. Students will release tension, improve flexibility, and restore muscle elasticity through rhythmic sequences and sustained stretches. Ideally for beginners to prepare their bodies to dance.

Dance course designed for beginners to build a strong foundation of movement fundamentals of contemporary dance. The course focuses on body alignment, rhythm, line, and space. It aimed to improve body and space awareness, enhance self-confidence, and enjoy the joy of dance. Suitable for people with no contemporary dance experience or less than one year of dancing experience.

This course is specially designed for seniors, using relaxed rhythms and simple dance activities to enhance physical mobility and balance. With guided instruction, participants are encouraged to tap into their creativity, express themselves freely, and stimulate their imagination. The class also promotes relaxation and social interaction. No prior dance experience is required, making it ideal for older adults interested in contemporary dance and creative movement.

Application
1.There are no drop-in classes, single walk-in classes, or make-up classes for summer courses.
2.The tutor will design corresponding dance training according to the course level. Please choose the class that suits your level.

Applicants must register and purchase the course on the Artmate platform and fill in contact information, including full name in Chinese and English, contact phone number and email.
Elderly Contemporary Dance Summer Programme
Registration method:
Applicants can register by completing the registration form/email/WhatsApp before July 31, 2025, or in person at the office during office hours. If necessary, please call 5407 6047 to contact the Passoverdance staff for assistance.
Payment Methods:
After receiving the confirmation email/message from our dance company, applicants can pay by the following methods::
1. Pay in-person the cash to Passoverdance Office (Rm 1602, Hong Kong Arts Centre, 2 Harbour Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong) during office hours; or
2. Submit in-person the crossed cheque (payable to "Passoverdance Limited", and write the applicant’s name and contact no. at the back of the cheque) to Passoverdance office; or
3. Bank transfer to the account of Passoverdance Limited (The Bank of East Asia 015-514-68-02301-6), and email the photocopy of the receipt to info@passoverdance.org.
4. Passoverdance Office hours are from 10am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday. (Closed on Wednesdays, Sundays and public holidays)
5. Please do not exceed the payment amount.
Class Notice

Student please attends the classes according to the timetable. The company will disclose information on Facebook, Instagram, and its website at least three hours before the start of each class for any changes or updates. There will be no phone calls or emails.

Students are advised to wear leotards, causal wear, or sportswear to class, shoes are not allowed inside the studio. -
Students are encouraged to wear T-shirts and clean socks to class for personal hygiene reasons.
If there are no students 15 minutes after the start of the class, it will be cancelled. -
Students may be required to present an identification document for verification of eligibility by our staff. The company shall have the right to refuse class participation of those who fail to prove their eligibility. -
In accordance with their ability, students should take on their risks and participate in the classes. Women who are pregnant should not take part in classes; the company is not liable for any injury or illness which may result from these courses. If necessary, the students may consider applying for insurance themselves. -
For the purpose of promoting and recording, the company reserves the right to take photos or video footage during a class. -
The personal data as provided in the application form shall be used for the company newsletter and promotion. Applicants have the right to request access to and correct personal data under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. Please contact the company if necessary.
Typhoon and Rainstorm
1. Classes that have not started
Typhoon Signal No. 1 or No. 3

If the Hong Kong Observatory hoists Typhoon Signal No. 1 or No. 3, or issues Amber/Red Rainstorm Warning Signal, all classes will be held as usual.
Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or Black Rainstorm Warning

If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted three hours before the course starts, or the signal is still hoisted, the course will be cancelled.
2. Classes that have started
Typhoon Signal No. 1 or No. 3

When Typhoon Signal No. 1 or No. 3, or Amber/Red Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted, classes will continue.
Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or Black Rainstorm Warning

When Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted, the course will be terminated immediately.
3. The dance troupe can decide whether to continue the class based on the actual situation. Please stay tuned for the latest updates on our company’s Facebook/Instagram.
4. The above is for general reference only. In any case, students should consider the weather, road and traffic conditions in each region and decide whether to go to our center to attend classes. No make-up classes or refunds will be given for absences under this circumstance.
5. Classes cancelled due to typhoons or other severe weather conditions will not be notified in advance and no make-up classes or refunds will be arranged.
